URBAN PLANNER, PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

The main focus of my professional career has been urban planning and community development. My strength as a planner has been to bring parties together to develop strategies, deal with conflicting interests, and create broad community and political support for new initiatives. Among other things, I have worked on large scale plans involving urban renewal and the rebuilding of postwar neighborhoods, parks, and recreational areas in and around Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
